Cable guide

A new woven sleeve, CableGuide, protects and manages telecommunications cables during installation. The system installs into occupied or unoccupied duct space, allowing numerous cables to be pulled at once or individual cables to be placed one at a time. The protective properties of the guide include operation in temperatures from -70°C to 125°C, and the product is resistant to underground contaminants, such as salt water, gasoline, motor oil and acid rain.—Federal-Mogul

Flush poke-thru

Walker RC4 SriesThe Walker RC4 Series flush poke-thru device now exceeds forthcoming UL standards for scrub water exclusion. The redesigned device also meets the current and more stringent tile floor requirement, making it approved for use on tile/terrazzo, carpet and wood floors. Gaskets, in conjunction with integral slide covers, prevent water, dust and debris from entering the electrical compartment, as well as the communications section. The device provides two dual-circuit, 20-A duplex receptacles wired on individual circuits with separate neutral and ground wires, as well as four multimedia data/communication connectors.

Cable management

PatchViewPatchView automatically collects and analyzes connectivity data, providing IT administrators with comprehensive real-time information concerning network assets (switch ports, servers, work stations and the network cabling infrastructure) and their connectivity status. Version 3.0 of the system includes full Web-based management for the physical layer. Network managers can complete network troubleshooting and control from remote locations via standard Web browsers, enabling them to view, configure and monitor the physical layer from any location. For support of converged networks, added information regarding the real-time location and attributes of IP phones and their connectivity is also available.—RiT Technology
